Inspect your inventory
Find items across your Steam accounts and read the details recorded for each holding.
Open Inventory in the intended workspace. The Steam inventory shows recorded holdings for the accounts you can access. Members need the Steam policy for this view. A member with Trading access but no Steam access is taken to Trading stock, which is a separate recorded trading view. Ask an owner to review workspace access if you need the Steam holdings described here.
Find an item
- Choose an account in the account list, or inspect the workspace selection offered by the page.
- Use the item search to narrow by item name, finish or wear.
- Tradable is selected by default. Choose All availability to include recorded items on hold, or use the other availability and item-type choices to narrow the result. These choices reflect recorded availability, not a fresh Steam check.
- Choose the available name ordering you need. More results load as you move through the collection.
- Select an item to open its details beside the collection.
If filters are still loading, the page can retain the previous results and label them accordingly. Wait for the new result before treating those items as matches for the new filters.
Read the available details
The item view brings together its name and finish, rarity, wear and recorded asset details. Float, paint seed and sticker information are shown when available. Missing metadata is not a zero float or proof that an item has no stickers.
Use the account holdings information to see which account has the item. A market name can describe multiple separate assets, so check the actual holding before acting on an individual item.
Compare holdings across accounts
- In an item's Asset inspector, choose an account under Accounts with this item.
- Check the Exact item label. This opens that account's recorded holdings for the same item name, without carrying over the previous search or availability filters.
- Select a holding to compare its asset ID, float and availability. The same item name does not mean the same asset or float.
- Use Open account to check the account's connection and profile. Browser Back returns to that holding; Back again returns to the original asset, search and collection position in the workspace.
Choose Clear item context when you want to browse other items in the selected account. The holder list describes last recorded inventory; it does not confirm current ownership or tradability.
From the catalog to an owned asset
The Item Catalog describes an item identity, such as a particular finish and wear. To find the actual holdings:
- Open the catalog item, then use View owned assets or the Accounts with this item section. These controls require Steam access.
- Select an account to open its inventory with that exact item name retained. Check the Exact item label before inspecting a holding.
- Open the asset to inspect its recorded float, identifiers and inspect link when available. Those details belong to that asset, not to every item with the same catalog name.
- Use browser Back to return to the catalog selection, or Clear item context to browse other holdings in the account.
The account list shows last recorded holdings. No recorded holders is different from a failed lookup and does not prove that no account owns the item now.
Check freshness and availability
Inventory is a recorded view of Steam holdings. Check account connection state and available collection timestamps when data appears stale. A successful page load does not prove Steam was polled at that moment.
Tradability can change, and a displayed item or reference price is not a purchase, a sale or a confirmed trade. Execution readiness is checked separately.
Check the explanation beside an empty result:
- Inventory coverage is incomplete: some accounts are awaiting a successful inventory read. Check those accounts' connection and collection state.
- Inventory is private: the recorded Steam response did not expose those holdings.
- No recorded items: inventory coverage has not been confirmed.
- No items match: clear filters or choose another account; this describes the last recorded inventory.
If the workspace has no account records, complete account setup. Disconnected accounts can still have recorded holdings. For a loading error, use the displayed retry action instead of treating the error as an empty inventory.
